Ice Cream Man Sets Digital, Blu-ray and 4K Release Dates
Eli Roth’s Ice Cream Man hits Digital September 22, Blu-ray and DVD October 20, and a limited 4K SteelBook November 17.
The Ice Cream Man digital release has been set for September 22, giving horror fans the first chance to watch Eli Roth’s blood-soaked horror-comedy at home after its theatrical run.
That will be followed by a Blu-ray and DVD release on October 20. A limited 4K UHD and Blu-ray Collector’s Edition SteelBook arrives November 17 with additional collectibles and an expanded selection of bonus material.
Ice Cream Man Digital Release Date: When Is It Available at Home?
Ice Cream Man will be available to buy or rent through digital retailers beginning September 22, 2026, with Paramount Global Content Distribution handling the digital release. A subscription-streaming date has not been announced.
The movie opened in theaters August 7, making the digital date a relatively quick turnaround for anyone who missed the theatrical run or wants another look at the practical effects without waiting for the physical editions.
What Comes With the Ice Cream Man Digital Release?
The digital edition includes three behind-the-scenes featurettes. “Ice Cream Man: The Backstory” explores the long road to making the film and the horror influences behind its killer-kid premise. “The Ice Cream Truck” focuses on the movie’s nightmare vehicle, strange frozen treats, mascot and deliberately cheerful jingle.
“Kidpocalypse” turns the attention to the practical effects and prosthetics used for the children’s increasingly gruesome rampage. The release also includes an audio commentary with Roth and his co-writer Noah Belson.
Ice Cream Man Blu-ray and 4K SteelBook Details
The standard Blu-ray and DVD editions arrive October 20. The limited SteelBook follows November 17 and combines 4K UHD and Blu-ray discs with an exclusive slipcover, collectible art cards and scratch-and-sniff stickers.
The Collector’s Edition is also listed with commentary, cast and crew interviews, behind-the-scenes footage, a collection of Roth’s short films, a trailer gallery and the three featurettes included with the digital edition. Preorders are already available through major retailers.
Roth directed, produced and co-wrote Ice Cream Man with Belson. Ari Millen stars as the mysterious vendor whose treats turn the children of a quiet seaside town into a murderous force. Benjamin Byron Davis, Karen Cliche, Dylan Hawco, Sarah Abbott and Roth are also among the cast.

What We Think
We have already reviewed Ice Cream Man, so this is not a case of wondering whether the movie will be worth the wait. Its willingness to embrace bright colors, absurd humor and outrageous practical gore is exactly what gave it a personality of its own.
The staggered schedule gives viewers a real choice: digital for the earliest home access, Blu-ray for a standard physical copy or the November SteelBook for the most complete collector package. The scratch-and-sniff stickers may be the strangest inclusion, but for a movie built around deadly frozen treats, they are also unusually on brand.
