Cold Storage

Cold Storage (2026)

Cold Storage delivers the perfect blend of body horror, creature-feature chaos, and sharp humor, creating a horror-comedy that is equal parts disgusting and entertaining. While the fungal infections, exploding bodies, and goo-covered monsters provide plenty of gross-out moments, the film balances the horror with likable characters, clever writing, and an infectious sense of fun that keeps the experience enjoyable rather than overwhelming.

Why Watch Our Review

We break down why Cold Storage surprised both of us, how the movie successfully balances disgusting fungal body horror with genuinely funny character moments, and why Amy spent the entire runtime jumping at the same alarm sound over and over again. We also dive into Liam Neeson’s self-aware performance as a former operative with a permanently injured back, the horrifying rat king creature, exploding eyeballs, infected deer, and the rapidly evolving fungus that turns every encounter into a new nightmare. Most importantly, we discuss why Cold Storage succeeds where many modern horror films fail by remembering that horror can be gross, tense, and thrilling while still being a great time at the movies.
