Weapons (2025)

Weapons begins with one of the most intriguing horror premises of the year and creates a genuine sense of mystery and dread, but ultimately collapses under the weight of its own ambitions. Strong performances, effective atmosphere, and a compelling setup give way to increasingly bizarre choices that never deliver a satisfying payoff. While the film clearly has ideas on its mind, neither of us felt those ideas translated into a rewarding horror experience.
