Marvel Zombies Halloween Specials Announced Through 2029
Three new Marvel Zombies Halloween specials are coming to Disney+, with one planned for each year from 2027 through 2029. Marvel announced the animated projects during New York Comic Con, giving its undead corner of the Marvel universe a longer future beyond the original series. Marvel is not new to The Fear Review as we covered the horror elements of Spider-man Brand New Day.
Marvel Zombies Halloween specials: titles and years
- The Winter Soldier — Halloween 2027
- The Fist of Khonshu — 2028
- The Last Guardian — 2029
The titles point toward familiar Marvel characters and corners of the franchise. The Winter Soldier invokes Bucky Barnes, while The Fist of Khonshu is a name associated with Moon Knight. The styling of The Last Guardian announcement suggests a connection to the Guardians of the Galaxy. Marvel has not yet revealed plots, voice casts or how the three stories connect.
What comes after the original series?
The first Marvel Zombies animated series brought the zombie outbreak introduced in What If…? into its own TV-MA Disney+ story. These newly announced specials extend that horror-focused concept, but Marvel has not confirmed whether they will continue specific storylines or stand alone.
The first special is scheduled for Halloween 2027. The other two have release years but no confirmed dates, and no new footage has been announced. The image above is from the existing Marvel Zombies series, not a new special.
