Ripcord Halloween Film Festival Names 12 Finalists

On October 26, Ripcord Halloween Film Festival announced that it had expanded its planned Top 10 to 12 short-film finalists after a close fan vote. The finalists will compete in a live finale at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood on Thursday, October 29; the festival plans to announce the winners the following morning.

More than 500 submissions were narrowed to a top 50, from which the finalists were selected. The contest offers more than $200,000 in cash prizes, including $100,000 for first place.
